Meet Author Pamela Samuels Young

Introducing Pamela Samuels Young

What's one thing (besides writing) that you enjoy doing?
Watching a good murder mystery on TV or at the movie theater.

What's your favorite quote & why?
"If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door." – Comedian Milton Berle. This quote reminds me that it's up to me to make my dreams come true.

What television show best describes your life and why?
Grey's Anatomy – long working hours, strong relationships and lots of drama.

What is your most valued possession?
My laptop. All my story ideas are in there!

What would your best friend say about you?
That I'm loyal.

What does love mean to you?
Being able to compromise. When you really love someone, you suddenly have the ability to think of them first.

What advice do you have for aspiring writers?
Don't let the naysayers discourage you. Agents and editors have rejected lots of writers who went on to major success in the publishing world (e.g., John Grisham, Terry McMillan, Stephanie Meyer). So when you get that rejection letter, take a minute or two to whine about it, then move on. Your day will come. Just don't quit!
